This year’s conference will focus on a timely and transformative theme: “The Future of Higher Education: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Learning, Teaching and Research”. As artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries and societies worldwide, HEIC 2026 will provide a critical platform for educators, researchers, and academic leaders to examine its profound impact on higher education.

The conference invites contributions on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Artificial Intelligence in Education
  • Curriculum Innovation and Quality Assurance
  • Lifelong Learning and Skills for the Future
  • Distance Learning, Digital Transformation, and E-learning
  • The Role of Higher Education in a Globalized World

Important dates to remember:

  • Paper submission deadline: July 15, 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: August 10, 2026
  • Final paper submission: August 20, 2026

All papers accepted after the peer-review process and presented at the conference will be published in the electronic conference proceedings with an ISSN number. Each published paper will be indexed in Crossref and assigned a DOI to ensure greater visibility and accessibility of the published research. Selected high-quality papers will be recommended for publication in an extended version in an international journal.

Organized since 2013, HEIC has grown into a key event for the global academic community. The conference draws rectors, deans, faculty members, and international education experts from around the world. It provides a unique opportunity to share innovative practices, build lasting academic partnerships, and engage in meaningful dialogue about the future of higher education.

In addition to its academic program, HEIC 2026 offers participants a chance to experience the beauty of Croatia’s Adriatic coast and the rich cultural heritage of Dubrovnik.
