Panel 1 – Strategic Futures of Higher Education in the Age of Artificial Inteligence
Moderator: Mato Njavro, PhD

Dr. Mato Njavro serves as the Dean of Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM) in Croatia. He also teaches at the Luxembourg School of Business and the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. With a diverse academic and professional background, Dr. Njavro has worked at the St. Gallen Institute of Management in Asia, in Singapore, where he served as a senior research fellow. He was also a lecturer at the Singapore Management University, where he taught a course on China’s economic development.
Prior to joining the University of St. Gallen and Singapore Management University, Dr. Njavro was a visiting research fellow at Harvard University’s Institute for Quantitative Social Sciences (IQSS). Dr. Njavro authored and co-authored several papers and case studies published by the Harvard Business School publishing. Dr. Njavro has earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics and finance from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. He earned his PhD in finance from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Panel 2 – Ethics of AI in Education: Key Challenges and Practical Solutions
Moderator: Kristijan Krkač, PhD

Assoc. Prof. Kristijan Krkač, PhD (b. 1970) has been a tenured professor at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM) since 2003. Before joining ZSEM, he was an associate professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Studies, University of Zagreb (1996-2017). He was a visiting professor in France 2010-2014 (Science Po Lille), in Latvia (RISEBA University) and in Italy (H-FARM College).
His research interests are mainly in the areas of business ethics, CSR and sustainability, and in the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein. To date, he has published 17 authored and 11 edited books (textbooks, conference and symposium proceedings, journal issues and two encyclopedias as a section editor). He is the author and co-author of more than 150 original scientific, professional and review articles, book chapters and encyclopedia articles. He has published with Palgrave MacMillan, De Gruyter, Springer, Routledge, Ashgate, Emerald, Rowman & Littlefield and the Austrian Society of Ludwig Wittgenstein. His books in English include: A Custodian of Grammar, Essays on Wittgenstein’s Philosophical Morphology (Maryland: Rowman & Littlefield, 2012), Conversations on Ethics and Business. A Guide to Thinking about Workplace Ethics (with R. Richards, and B. Jalšenjak, Cambridge: Ethics International Press, 2023) and Alone amidst the ruins of the future – Philosophy and unsustainability of multiple simultaneous disasters (Zagreb: MATE, 2025).
Panelists

Dr. Markus Raueiser is Director of Teaching and Learning and Professor of International Business at CBS International Business School in Cologne, Germany. Over the past two decades, he has held several academic and management positions at CBS, including Dean and Vice President for International Relations.
He teaches Strategic Management at Bachelor’s, Master’s, and MBA levels, with particular expertise in interactive and action-learning formats. He also serves as Visiting Professor at Antwerp Management School and has professional experience with Deutsche Bank and KPMG.
His research focuses on higher education, university management, strategy, and organisational design. Dr. Raueiser also has extensive experience in accreditation and quality assurance, including institutional accreditation processes such as IACBE and AACSB, as well as serving as a reviewer and assessor in accreditation procedures.

Prof. Maha Mahdi Al-Khaffaf is Professor of Management Information Systems and Director of International Relations at Applied Science Private University (ASU), Jordan. She has extensive academic and leadership experience in Jordanian higher education and served as Head of the Management Information Systems Department for more than five years.
Her research interests focus on artificial intelligence in higher education, digital transformation, intelligent decision support, and the responsible and ethical use of emerging technologies, particularly in teaching, research, and academic decision-making.
Throughout her academic career, she has held several leadership positions, including Director of the Planning and Development Center and Director of the Consultation and Training Center, reflecting her experience in institutional development, strategic planning, and professional training.

Dr. Monika Sońta is an expert in communication, creativity, and artificial intelligence in education. A technology sociologist specializing in organizational culture and internal communication. She is a certified facilitator of FORTH, LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®, PLAYMOBILpro, Design Sprint, and PROSCI methodologies.
She has over 20 years of international experience in HR and communication. She is an Assistant Professor at Kozminski University and the local coordinator of the 4InnoPipe2 project. Her research focuses on creativity in organizations in the age of AI. She is also a Visiting Scholar at Riga Business School.
Panel 3 – The Co-Scientist Era: Self-Driving Labs, Multimodal Discovery & the Postplagiarism University
Moderator: Andrej Novak, PhD

Dr. Andrej Novak is a Research Associate at the Faculty of Mathematics and Economics at the University of Vienna and a Professor at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. He holds both a Master’s and a PhD in Applied Mathematics, as well as a medical degree from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, where he graduated with a thesis on cellular models in neuroscience.
His research focuses on applied mathematics and computer science, with particular interests in partial differential equations, optimization theory, medical image processing, and the use of interpretable predictive analytics in managing cardiac pathologies.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Novak has led and coordinated more than ten university courses in mathematics, quantitative methods, and computer science at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He has also contributed to curriculum development for several computer science programs and has taught quantitative methods across multiple institutions.
He has been actively involved in numerous national and international projects, serving as both a researcher and a member of advisory boards. As a principal investigator, he has led scientific projects and collaborated with international companies specializing in algorithmic solutions for image processing and computationally intensive problems.
Panelists:

Dr. Swen Seebach has served as Vice-Rector for Quality, University Strategy and Internationalisation at Universitat Abat Oliba CEU since 2025, following his tenure as Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Quality between 2021 and 2025. He is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Communication, where he teaches sociology, political sociology, ethics, and communication theory.
His academic career is characterised by a strongly interdisciplinary approach that integrates political science, sociology, communication theory, and Science and Technology Studies (STS). His research focuses on the analysis of emotions and the social and cultural imaginaries that shape the adoption, interpretation, and incorporation of emerging technologies into society. His work has contributed to understanding how collective expectations, emotions, narratives, and visions of the future influence innovation processes, professional practices, and social transformations associated with digitalisation and artificial intelligence.
He published a monograph Love and Society (Routledge, 2017), which has gained international recognition within the fields of social relationships, emotions, and modernity studies and he is a recognised scholar in the study of technological imaginaries and the social dimensions of artificial intelligence, digital communication, and technological transformation.
He is Institutional leader of Universitat Abat Oliba CEU within the European University Alliance EUonAIR, and director of the consolidated research group COMEMFUTURES, recognised by the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR).

Marin Njavro is the co-founder and managing director of Luxembourg School of Business. He is responsible for the School’s overall strategy, operations and relations with the School’s main stakeholders.
Marin has graduated from Sciences Po Paris with a Bachelor degree in political science and a Master degree in Business Law. He has previously worked for Barclays Capital in London and the corporate law department of Loyens & Loeff in Luxembourg.

Prof. Vilte Auruskeviciene, Ph.D. is a Professor of Social Sciences at ISM University of Management and Economics (Lithuania). She is a marketing scholar with extensive experience in academic leadership and international higher education development.
Prof. Auruskeviciene joined ISM in 2004 and has since held a number of senior academic and executive positions, including Dean, Vice-President for Studies, Vice-President for Studies and Research and Interim President. Since 2025, she has been leading ISM activities within the European University Alliance EUonAIR.
She is a Board Member and International Director of the Marketing Educators’ Association (MEA, USA), a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA), Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) and a member of the Editorial Board of the Baltic Journal of Management. She also serves as an expert for the Research Council of Lithuania and the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (Lithuania).
Her research focuses on digital marketing, consumer behaviour, and the application of artificial intelligence in marketing and consumption contexts. She has published extensively in high-impact international journals, including the Journal of Public Management, Journal of Business Research, Electronic Markets, and the Journal of Product and Brand Management.
Her research excellence has been recognized internationally. Most recently, her article (co-authored) “AI-based Chatbots in Conversational Commerce and Their Effects on Product and Price Perceptions,” published in Electronic Markets, was recognized as the Paper of the Year 2024.
